Mazda MPV GFX Edition 2000 To 2003 Class 3 Trailer Hitch 70584
 Hidden Hitch greatly improves the appearance of your MPV compared to conventional square tube hitch receivers. Uses 2 1/2 inch bent round tubing to follow the contours of the vehicle's rear bumper and hides as much of the receiver as possible. Exposed design complements the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of today's vehicles. Black powder coat finish. Class 3 / III, 2 inch x 2 inch receiver opening. All hardware and instructions included. Note: Receiver ball mount bar, wiring harness and trailer hitch ball sold
separately.

INSTRUCTIONS:
INSTALLATION TIP: Prepare vehicle’s existing threaded inserts (weld nuts)
prior to installation by cleaning out threads with correct size tap (M10 x 1.25
pitch) or
thread chaser. Check to ensure bolts () screw in easily otherwise inserts may
break loose and spin if too much torque is applied.
- Thread bolt leader onto carriage bolt and insert bolt leader
through hole in reinforcing plate. Fish bolt leader and assembly
through access hole in frame and out
through required mounting hole. Gently pull on bolt leader until bolt assembly is
into position. Repeat for
other side.
- Raise hitch assembly into position. Fish bolt leaders through holes in
hitch frame brackets and being careful not to push bolt assemblies back into
frame channels,
remove bolt leaders and install flange nuts.
- Install M10 hex bolts with flat washers and lock washers
through front holes in frame brackets into existing factory inserts in frame.
- Install remaining hardware through tie down bracket in the center
of vehicle and through hitch assembly and install flange nut (See
illustration for clarification.)
- Tighten all bolts, referring to torque table on instruction sheet.
TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/4” & 17mm sockets, tap or thread chaser (M10 x 1.25
pitch), ratchet or impact gun to suit, 100 ft/lb
torque wrench.
